Here it is, this year's "SCARY" costume! Sabiboy dressed as a turtle this year (though we did hear "frog" and "dinosaur" until we pointed out the large, round shell on his back!). There was a Halloween parade and sing-a-long at school. Mom got to go and had a wonderful time taking pictures of Sabi, his classmates and our neighbor Luke. The Little Lambs (Sabi's class) went door to door and picked up candies and treats (stickers, pinwheels, etc.) all around the building. If you don't know, Sabi attends a school which is part of a large center for folks with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Sabi's school is integrated and the staff are really wonderful with all of the kids. The parade was especially fun because we got to go all around the WHOLE building and visit with the adults in the various day programs. Usually the daycare is on it's own so it was fun to interact with all of the programs.
On *actual* Halloween, a group of moms from the 'hood organized a little get-together at the library. We put strollers, etc. into a large circle and the little ones went stroller to stroller and picked up goodies. It was really sweet that the library was so excited to have us, they sent out the security guard to take pictures and now the kids are screen savers on all of the computers! You'll see that Sabi and Daddy had to go into the library afterward and had some fun on the computers together.
