Laughing so hard we were crying!

A few nights ago we were eating dinner on the deck since it was one of those oogy, steamy August nights. Sabi made quite the disaster of himself with one of his favorites...baked beans. Dario and I were pretty exhausted from the day and Sabi was happy to play a little longer so I had the "brilliant" idea of bringing a big stock pot full of water out onto the deck so he could splash around and maybe even clean himself up a bit. Silly kid had us...AND the neighbors who were out eating on THEIR deck...laughing so hard. Apparently, his idea of getting clean was to whole-hog jump into the stock pot. Baby soup! We finally shed the (very wet) clothes and hauled him off to the bathtub. Rather, he hauled HIMSELF up to the tub, happy to be nekkid as a jaybird.

More fun times

First hair cut...oddly enough it took him this long for his first "trim" but then it all grew back in about 1/100th the time!

Getting into mom's lipstick...uh oh!

Lovin' the beach!

Ok, so it's been a while since we've had any new updates...

We capped off July with lots of travelling to the beach. Sabi IMMENSELY enjoyed day trips to Ocean City & Margate NJ and we spent a long weekend in Rehoboth Beach DE to celebrate the end of Dario's job at MEI. We hadn't really spent time at the beach since last year, and boy was this year different! Last year Sabi was barely sitting up, got sand in his mouth and eyes and just generally wasn't too thrilled with the beach. This year, we couldn't tear him away!! Always a little fish (he is our surprise Pisces after all!), this kid made a break for the water and we were just lucky to catch him before he made it across the Atlantic! Lots of fun in the sand and LOTS of sunscreen for this fair child. The other kids in the pictures are relatives of my Penn Partner in Crime, Angela Gerolamo. Ange's family (our Philadelphia Phamily) spends a week in Ocean City NJ every year and we joined them for Kids Day this year. The girls were SO good with Sabi and looked out for him, too. He spent lots of time playing in the sand with their brother, who is about 6 months older than Sabi. It was really fun to watch all the kids having such a great time together.
PS-Take a close look at the mischevious little face and you'll see quite a 'sand beard'!!
