Pictures of brunch

As you can tell, this child does not suffer from lack of attention! :)

Hooray!! One year!!!

And now for the question that all parents have asked since the beginning of time:

How the heck did this happen??!!

Yep, kiddo is a whole year (and, as of this typing 1 yr 4 days) old. Wow. In one year he has:

-lifted his head, rolled over, crawled, crawled a mean streak

-learned how to breastfeed, bottle feed, feed himself

-almost quadrupled his birth weight

-visited Michigan 3 times, Argentina once, Maryland 5-6? times, Dallas

-had one ear infection, 2 head colds

-learned to say mama, dada and uh oh

-sprouted 6 teeth

AND

-rocked his parents' world in a way they never ever thought possible!!

In celebration of his birthday, we had a small brunch at home with friends. Sabiboy was showered with gifts (oy.) and attention (nawwww...). His #1 girlfriend Moira came to visit, too! Don't look for "the cake" picture. I made cupcakes and he wasn't too crazy about them. Perhaps all the attention and cameras scared the little guy, who knows. Yesterday I gave him another shot with the last cupcake and he did have fun dismantling it, but didn't do much in the way of eating. If I can figure out how to post pics from my cell phone camera I'll do that.

Expect more pics to come. We had 1 yr pics taken at Sears, we have more brunch pics and I *really* want to figure out how to post videos. We have a great one of him feeding himself with a spoon, which he insisted on doing, on his birthday.

Thanks to all of our friends and family who have supported us and loved this child over the past year. It's a wild adventure becoming a parent!! Where is the manual again?!?!
