Proud alumni!

How can we talk about yesterday without mentioning our happy reunion?

We met for lunch at the Trolley Car Diner (baby friendly...the stickers in the window say so!) with everyone from our Birthworks class. Ben & Jordan are still pregnant and due May 6. They had to suffer through our many stories and pieces of obscure advice. Sam and Maurissa brought beautiful Courtney, who entertained us all with her cornsilk hair and big brown eyes. Despite all of our grand plans, we still have yet to arrange for Sage and Courtney to meet. Darn it all, they are tandem sleepers!

GOOD LUCK to Ben & Jordan!

Post-Easter report

Hooboy, it's been a busy week. Dad in the ER, Gramma/G-G/Aunt Theresa & Katherine visiting, Dad in Chicago and my very first dinner party...

We are happy to repost that Sabiboy has started smiling in response to our voices! Last Friday 4/14 we had our first smile-y treat and we get a few per day ever since.

Last night 4/22, we all attended a nice dinner party at Nico and Amy's apartment...coincidentally, mom and dad's old apartment. Yep, Sabi gestated there for about 6 weeks. What a Homecoming! Great friends (as always!), great food and some chess lessons as well. Here are some pictures from last night, courtesy of Aunt Susie.

Thanks to Dad's work mates, Wissahickon Park has never seen a kid or Jeep stroller so posh!

Here I am wearing my Easter suit from Gramma Seamon...

Inaugural update on our boy

Sabi has had a busy first month of growing, eating, administrating new house rules (I will eat NOW!) and indoctrinating his parents. Dari and I must admit, though, that we are helplessly in love...even at 4am, changing diapers and coaxing burps!

Last night was an adventure for all of us. At 4am, mom got up to pump. Looking for back support (pump was on the floor), I leaned up against our closet doors, preparing to slide down to sit on the floor. Well, I should have known that they are the not-so-sturdy sliding type of doors. Shortly, I was in a heap of milk, doors and clothing. I scared the bloody hecks out of Dario, who jumped out of the bed in about .00001 second! The funniest thing was that Little One slept through the whole thing. In fact, last night he slept for his longest overnight stretch yet (almost 5 hours!). This after a monumental fussy period last night...I suppose all that rocking, shushing and love must have some payoff!

The blog begins...

Hello and welcome to Sage's blog!

For those who are unfamiliar, we often call Sage "Sabi" or "Sabiboy" since Sabio is Sage in Spanish.

That was a lot of S's...

Anyhow, we thought that a blog would not only make us look like a hip, cool family, but also be a great way to keep our far-flung friends and family apprised of Sage's pictures and milestones...and allow his indulgent parents an excellent venue to show him off. :)

We hope you enjoy, feel free to post yourself!
